Building Maintenance Department
is responsible
for the maintenance and repairs of all buildings on the main
campus plus the Outdoor Classroom on the 60 acres located across
highway 7 southeast of the campus. The department contains the
following classifications each having their own areas of
responsibility: 1 Construction/ Maintenance Operations Manager,
1 Administrative Technician, 3 Construction/Maintenance
Technicians, 1 Automotive/Engine Repairman, 1 Electrician, 1
Contract Plumber, 2 Physical Plant Operators, 3
Housekeeping/Custodial Workers and 3 Fire Safety/Security
Officers.
The department
is responsible for all forms of structural repairs and performs
minor remodels as needed. The school Motor Pool has a total of
22 vehicles used to transport students and staff for
educational/home going and staff functions. The technical trades
(Electrician & Plumber) are responsible for the repair of the
electrical systems, plumbing systems and heating and air
conditioning as required. Fire Safety/Security is responsible
for insuring that the students and staff are safe and secure
from intruders and that all buildings are monitored for fires
and assist in the evacuation of students and staff in case of an
emergency. Housekeeping/Custodial personnel insure that the
facilities are well maintained and clean at all times to insure
a healthy environment. The Power Plant operators insure that the
cooling and heating loop systems are maintained at all times.
The
Construction/Maintenance Operations Manager oversees the daily
operations of the department as well as coordinates new projects
and oversees the projects until they are complete. The
Administrative Technician process all applicable paperwork to
insure operational accountability at all time
