OSD Media Department

The OSD Media department has three staff members.  Harvey Stinson, Technology Specialist, is the supervisor of the department, Harvey oversees the full range of services provided to OSD’s teachers and staff, including duplication, photography, and, videotaping, as well as classroom TVs, and computers, computer labs and networking. While taking care of the schools computers and printers, and manages the educational programs housed on the schools servers.  He troubleshoots day to day computer problems and keeps things running smoothly.

Jason Hargis, Information Technologist and Multimedia Specialist, takes care of the school website, web channel, and, publications, as well as monitoring databases, program research and computers all over campus. He helps OSD staff become familiar with programs such as Power School, as well as teaching them to utilize the OSD website in classes and other learning situations. Jason is ensuring that OSD staff and teachers are ready for a more technological future.

Lynell Sloan, media aide, is the backbone of the media department and takes care of all of the copying and duplication needs of the school.  Lynell has been at OSD for over 50 years, starting as a preschool student in the early 50’s. His big smile and willingness to please is appreciated by every staff member.  A few years ago Lynell was choose as OSD’s “Employee of the Year.”
