Welcome to Indian Classic 2013!!!!

On behalf of Oklahoma School for the Deaf, we would like to welcome you to the 31st Annual Southwest Classic. We are very excited to host the prestigious event. We are located nearby the Arbuckle Mountains. We hope you will take the time to explore our beautiful scenery. We have a new Chickasaw Cultural Center, Chickasaw National park, and the Artesian Shopping center as well.

During this time together, we encourage the students-athletes to enjoy themselves and play competitive basketball/cheerleading. Above all else, we want to act respectfully toward each other and exhibit good qualities of sportsmanship.

OSD welcomes you with open arms for this event and hope that friendship will be created that will last a lifetime. We are looking forward to your participation in this Southwest Classic tradition.

If there is anything that our staff can do to make your stay pleasant, don't hesitate to ask.

Southwestically yours,

Tommy Varner, Jr.

Dear Players, Coaches, Alumni, Staff, Team Supporters and Fans,

Welcome to the 2013 Indian Classic Basketball Tournament!

The classic is a yearly tournament among four schools for the deaf that has a proud history and tradition. Whether you are a player, coach, team supporter or fan, you are taking part in a true collaborative effort of everyone involved to make sure our young athletes have the opportunity to participate in a sports endeavor that teaches participants many life lessons that are learned from participation in sports.

If I or anyone on our campus can do anything to make your visit to the OSD campus more pleasant, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Sincerely,

KaAnn Varner, Superintendent
Oklahoma School for the Deaf
