OSD Instructional News

Greetings! The safety of our students, teachers, and staff at OSD is very important to us. As you know; our new superintendent, Dr. Laine, sent out a notice yesterday (January 26) regarding upcoming weather conditions for next week. Due to the reports of low temperatures and hazardous weather conditions the decision was made for school to be virtual next week. (January 30- February 2) Student iPads have been sent home. Classes will be through zoom and assignments will be through google classroom.

Update:

Announcements:

  • More information and updates to follow regarding returning to school in person.
  • If you have any questions, please email:
    • OSDsafety@osd.k12.ok.us

Reminders:

  • Additional information can always be found on our OSD web page
  • The State Department of Education holds schools accountable for attendance and grades, regardless of in person instruction or virtual/distance learning. It is important to note; attendance will be taken during zoom classes and assignments will be graded. Not attending zoom classes or not turning in assignments will affect the student’s grade negatively.
  • Please let us know how we can help in the success of your student’s education. Especially this next week of virtual school/distance learning.

Thank you for being an important part of our team as we work to keep your student safe this next week while maintaining their educational needs. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me/us anytime. Take care and stay warm!
