Positive Case Nov. 9th

OSD Parents, Guardians and Staff,  

We have been notified that we have had a student or staff member test positive for covid-19 on the Sulphur campus. Our School nursing supervisor has contacted the county Health department and initiated contact tracing.  Any Students or staff that are identified as having been in close contact with the positive individual will be contacted personally via email, text, telephone, video phone or letter.  If you are not contacted directly, then you were not identified as being in close contact with the positive individual. This brings our total positive cases to 8 staff and 3 students. The total number of active cases on the Sulphur campus is 1.

The school closure has been extended through the Thanksgiving holiday. Buses will run on Sunday November 29th and classes will resume on campus Monday November 30th. Staff will continue to report to work on campus at their regularly scheduled time.  Please contact Matt Neal or Janie Lynch if you have any further questions or concerns at this time.
