Kaycie Brown

Early Development Specialist

Kaycie Lee Brown is the Early Development Specialist for the northwest region of Oklahoma. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Arkansas. Through her time at Arkansas, Kaycie found a passion for working with deaf and hard-of-hearing children and their families throughout her studies in Communication Sciences and Disorders. She specialized her education by obtaining a minor in Infant/Toddler Development and Family Services. 

Upon graduation, Kaycie began teaching at Happy Hands Education Center where she was the Lead Teacher for the deaf and hard-of-hearing toddlers. She received a Deaf Education Endorsement from the University of Tulsa allowing her to be certified in Deaf Education with the state of Oklahoma. Additionally, Kaycie has a Master of Science in Deaf Education and Deaf Studies from Lamar University.

Kaycie has an extensive background in early intervention services with an ASL/English bilingual philosophy. She has traveled to many conferences across the country to receive endorsements in the education of young deaf and hard of hearing children through, Happy Hand’s partnership with Tulsa Educare. Her favorite part of partnering with families is watching them discover the joy they find in raising their deaf or hard-of-hearing children. She loves to watch the children and families she works with reach for and shattered goals they once found impossible.
