Campus Interpreters

Campus Interpreters

The Oklahoma School for the Deaf employs three full-time certified interpreters. All interpreters are highly trained professionals who adhere to a strict code of ethics and confidentiality. Their duties include interpreting for IEP meetings, staff and teacher meetings, counseling sessions, extracurricular activities, tours, classes, workshops, and more.

In addition to our in-house team, we also collaborate with community interpreters when necessary. A list of available community interpreters is provided upon request to students, parents, and the broader community. This list can also be found on the DRS website.

The Oklahoma School for the Deaf also employs a Spanish interpreter who is available upon request. She provides translation services for documents, letters to parents, phone calls, tours, enrollment, and IEP meetings.
